Led by Melissa Teoh, who is a theatrical scenic designer whose work spans across a multitude of performing arts venues locally and internationally. The art of spatial design and its connection between artistes and audience has moved to greater heights with the development and integration of multimedia and design technology. In this workshop, we will explore audience immersion possibilities for live performances.
About Melissa Teoh
Melissa spent a decade in Los Angeles as a production/stage manager and scenic designer before relocating home to Malaysia. She manages a myriad of productions internationally – including musicals, operas, plays, festivals, and concerts in South East Asia, USA, Australia and Edinburgh.
Melissa’s scenic designs have garnered nominations and recognition at the LA Weekly, NAACP and Garland Awards in the USA. Selected design credits in Malaysia include: Cabaret, Next To Normal (PAN Productions), Air Con, Nadirah, Hero, D’State of D’Nation, Gold Rain & Hailstones (Instant Café Theatre), Seussical Jr The Musical (Enfiniti Vision Media), License to Thrill – A Bond Concert (Limelight Productions), Perfect Circle (Asia Musical Productions), SHOUT! The Musical (Broadway Academy) and Hansel & Gretel (Dama Asia Productions).
