“The history of architecture is the history of the struggle for light.”
Le Corbusier
It is one of the important aspects to understand space and architecture when creating a light art installation. To create a site specific installation, one needs to better understand the context of the site, in order to coexist with its environment; the same principle when architects design a building to coexist with its surroundings.
In this workshop, Shin Tseng will provide evidence of lighting design is the protagonist in any architecture project through his own body of work, as well as precedent studies that demonstrate how site specific light installation and lighting design play a role in defining architecture.
You would not want to miss this talk by Shin Tseng, a design architect who created one of the World’s 10 Most Beautiful Offices of 2019 according to Inc Magazine, with the help of lights.
